Congratulations to Billy Reid! The much deserving winner of this year’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award is the leader of country-meets-urban cool. I was lucky enough to attend his Fall 2010 presentation at Milk Studios last year and I immediately fell in love with all of his offerings. The perfect mix of southern charm and Brooklyn cool, Billy Reid is a major designer to watch, and I can’t wait to see what he’ll do next.
An additional congratulations to runners-up Prabal Gurung and Eddie Borgo, as well as all the other designers nominated this year. It was such a fantastically talented group and everyone involved was deserving of the attention!
