Proenza Schouler, Spring 2011
Part II
The first half of the collection was full of warm pastels and slouchy shapes, the perfect embodiment of relaxed ladylike simplicity. One song in particular fits that mood, and that is Morning Song by a fantastic band called Le Loup. Their entire album Family is the perfect mellow, lazy, dreamy music that relaxes you and puts you in a good mood. Morning Song is the highlight, making you forget what you’re doing at that moment, and transporting you to a hillside as you watch the sun rise.

Nina Ricci, Spring 2011
Part I
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and what better collection to represent it than Nina Ricci. It was nearly impossible to pick out five looks to feature and there is a part II coming soon! Peter Copping presented a collection full of feminine, optimistic, confident clothing that would make any woman feel beautiful in an instant. I’m lusting over all of it and can’t wait to see these pieces in the pages of my favorite fashion magazines in the months to come. Copping’s message is clear: have fun with fashion, and think pink!

Timo Weiland, Spring 2011
Timo Weiland, the fantastic up-and-coming New York based line comprised of Timo Weiland and Alan Eckstein, is definitely one to watch. As a longtime fan I was so excited to see their spring offerings and the collection did not disappoint! Updated nautical stripes were mixed with lace, florals, and printed silks, and the chic accessories did not go unnoticed. I can’t wait to see what else these boys have up their sleeves, and I especially can’t wait to get my hands on that cropped blazer in the second look to the left…
